Donate your media equipment to SKETCH’s Media Arts Program!

By Naty Tremblay

Hey friends of SKETCH!

Perhaps you received some new media equipment over the holidays and now you’re wondering, “What can I do with my used media equipment that has a good social purpose?”

The SKETCH Media Arts program would happily receive your old, and gently used media equipment to use in our bourgeoning media arts programming with emerging young artists! We’re currently hosting a digital media equipment donation drive until February 29.

You may also be eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation!

We welcome donations of equipment such as:

  • Canon DSLR cameras & lenses,
  • Camera bags,
  • MacBooks, 2012 or newer,
  • Wacom drawing tablets & stylus pens,
  • Older creative software (discs, licenses) like Photoshop, Illustrator, Final cut pro, Premier, After Effects, Lightroom, Dragon Frames etc.
  •  Lighting equipment

For more information or to make an equipment donation, contact Jahmal Nugent at mediaarts@sketch.ca.

SKETCH COMMUNITY UPDATE (as of April 2, 2020)

Friends, we hope you are safe and healthy!

SKETCH is taking a pause in its usual programming to respond thoughtfully to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Spring and Summer programs will not happen as originally planned.

We are working to create remote offerings such as live streaming, video workshops, and online referrals support (in particular to connect with funds that can support youth, 16-29, during the pandemic).

We are aiming to have some in-person programs up and running by Fall 2020!

Please stay tuned to our social media accounts for updates. If you have any questions or concerns, email us at info@sketch.ca.

IN THE MEANTIME, IF YOU’D LIKE TO SUPPORT OUR WORK ... Please HELP!

Check out our Project Home campaign to help us get home!

We need your support.

Help us to get through this time when all our funding is affected!
