DESCRIPTION:What makes a place queer? \nWhat does queering a place look like? \nWhere do queers gather & why? \nThe Queering Place multi-disciplinary artist residency will explore these guiding questions through the experiment of designing & building a public outdoor Queer Gathering Place in partnership with The Bentway Toronto. \nWe are seeking applications from Two-spirit\, Queer & Trans* artists with interests or experiences working in fabrication\, woodworking\, earthwork\, public arts\, sound & podcast arts\, visual arts & spatial design. This residency will happen partially online as well as in person\, observing strict Covid safety protocols.
